DAILY PROMPT: Tell us about the last book you read (Why did you choose it? Would you recommend it?).

I’ve started following the Daily Prompt just to see if any of their suggestions would strike a chord and today’s did just that.  I just finished reading “Ten Years Later” by Hoda Kotb.

I chose this book because I saw it reviewed online and I was looking for something that would hopefully kick-start my motivation.  I’ve been in a funk lately, with so many things I want to do but not doing any of them.  I hoped this book might spur me to take some action.

All of the stories in the book were quite inspiring, folks who had overcome tremendous odds and/or difficulties in their lives to become whole again or prosperous.  I’m not sure if it moved my ‘motivation meter’ but I did enjoy reading it.  I finished it in a week which is pretty good for me considering I have a habit of giving up on books about halfway through.

I would recommend this book to someone who is feeling down and out – it should provide ample inspiration to ‘never give up’.
