Back on my training program and today’s workout was a 3 mile Tempo run. The weather this morning was a little iffy as they were calling for a chance of thunderstorms but I checked the radar and it looked like I could get in a quick 3 miles so off I went. It was cloudy and humid but there was a slight breeze which made it bearable. I took a short warm up walk, started my Garmin and off I went.
I felt really, really good during the first mile and my pace was right where I wanted it to be. I needed to take a few walk breaks around 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5 but generally I felt really good. My legs didn’t feel tired, the reason I needed to walk was because I was getting overheated – I guess it’s just going to be like that this summer, unless the humidity breaks :-s
