I finished the baby quilt for my niece in plenty of time for my trip this coming weekend…Yay! The color in the pictures is not quite right…the fabrics are a little more saturated but this is the best I could get
Hanging on my design wall – before washing…
Hanging from the ironing board after washing
All folded, ready for packing…
I also made another receiving blanket with the left over flannel
And the new momma asked if I could try to make a tagtoy they saw on Pinterest, my first attempt is a little wonky but unless I can make another in the next two days this one will have to do.
I’ve had my fill of pink fabric for now but I’m sure I’ll be using more as that little girl outgrows these!
I put the final seam in the Clemson tshirt quilt…I’m now waiting on the client to pick out backing fabric. I emailed her a few options but she didn’t love them so I asked her to go online and find something, let’s see how long this takes!
We made a little purchase this past week – we’ve had a Dodge Van for over 20 years and it served us well but it was time to let it go. We’re downsizing everything for our move to Myrtle Beach so I guess it made sense to downsize the vehicle too! We’ve been checking out KIA Soul’s for quite a while and finally pulled the trigger…I love it. It has quite a bit of passenger space and just enough room in the back to haul small stuff when the rear seats are folded down. We’ve nick-named it our “Rat Rod” after those cute commercials with the mice!!
That’s about it for now…what have you been up to this week?
Car is cute. Your quilt and tag toy are darling. It will be well loved.
