Finding mojo

I’ve been having a hard time finding my mojo in the sewing room…I can sit for hours and think about all the lovely things I want to make but that hasn’t translated into a lot of actual sewing.

I did get a few more improv color blocks made since last week and here’s the layout I’ve had in my mind. The green scraps have been sitting untouched on my cutting table for almost a week – ugh!

I dropped 1# at my WW weigh in this week for which I’m very happy. I had a bumpy week with food choices so I was a little worried.

Nothing new with the other house in Lake Wylie, the intended buyer still has not responded to our attempts to contact him so we’ll need to start making other arrangements to put it on the market. DH seems to be in a bit of a funk too and isn’t his normal ‘gung-ho’ self so I’m having to light a fire under him šŸ˜¦

That’s all for now – I’ll leave you with a picture of my Sammie girl. I was getting ready the other morning and saw her sleeping so peacefully I had to grab my phone for a picture

Have a great rest of your weekend šŸ™‚

  1. It’s not wrong to run out of steam occasionally. You both have been on the go with deadlines pushing you for some time. Just take a little me time, and take care of yourselves. The energy & excitement will return. Just one day at a time.

    1. Thank you for your guidance! Funny enough, after I posted this blog I got a jolt of mojo and finished the rest of the rainbow improv blocks, go figure! I agree I need to allow myself time & grace when these moments happen ā¤

  2. oh My goodness I know exactly what you mean. If they can put a man on the moon, they should be able to find a cure for missing mojo! I love your Bright improv blocks. I can see something ahhhsome growing on your design wall. Iā€™m very jealous of your WW commitment. Congrats, every tiny step forward must be celebrated.

    1. Thanks Velda! I know I’m not alone with the missing mojo problem, I hope it comes back soon! Maybe when the weather cools down just a bit šŸ˜‰ This is my 3rd cycle on WW…it works for me every time and then I think ‘I can do this alone’…hahaha, I am so wrong! I need the accountability of going to the meetings and weighing in šŸ˜‰
