Wonky Stars

I was so tired of seeing the last project on my design wall so I pieced it all together and put it in my unfinished box! Then I started a new project…I pulled several orange, purple and black fat quarters from my stash and started playing.

I ended up making large wonky stars, each block measures 13.5″ I pulled this low volume ‘x’ print to use for the background without any real plan in mind for the size quilt I would make. I cut it into 5″ squares which gave me enough for 10 blocks…

It was then I realized I didn’t have enough background fabric to make the size quilt I wanted so I went back to my stash to find something I could use to make two more stars… um yeah, not exactly close but this will work

Here’s a close up of one of the fabrics…love the placement of the spiders πŸ˜‰

Now I can figure out how I want to layout the colors in a 3×4 block design.

That’s all for now…I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend πŸ™‚
