Sewcialites2 QAL
I finished piecing Block 10 and I also got Block 11 done this week!! Thankfully Block 11 wasn’t too difficult π

Elephant Abstractions
I only completed a few more pieces this week because we had unexpected visitors. We have friends from Mass that spend 4-6 weeks in Sarasota FL every Jan/Feb. They typically stop by our place on their way home in Feb but their plans got thrown for a loop on the way down and they asked if they could spend a few days with us this week as they made their way south. Well of course!!! They arrived midday on Thursday and pulled out very early Sunday morning. After they left I went back to bed LOL
Here’s my current progress on the Elephant

And because I just can’t help myself, I’ve started ANOTHER project! Kristen of ScrapFabricLove is doing a no stress scrap buster with swiss cross blocks. I used my Accuquilt GO! to cut a bunch of 2.5×4.5 rectangles and laid out a few blocks; I just need to start piecing them together.

I finished reading The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley this week. If you’ve never read anything by this author you might be surprised by her structure and style. She lays out the story in short chapters, each from a different character’s perspective. It took me a few chapters to get drawn into it but once I was, it was a page-turner to get to the end!

That’s all for now! Have a great week π

Oh my goodness – I am currently listening to the Paris Apartment on audiobook. I loved The Guest List and I am looking forward to see how this book progresses, sounds like you enjoyed it.
Sounds like your unexpected visitors were a good distraction. The QAL blocks are looking great as is your progress with the elephant π

Hi Tierney, I also read The Guest List and really enjoyed it so it was a no brainer to pick up The Paris Apartment. We had fun with our friends and now I’m back in my sewing room making progress on my (too) many projects LOL
