Woohoo, yippee, hooray! I F.I.N.A.L.L.Y finished piecing the memorial quilt top!! I kicked my own butt, made myself get in my sewing room and just get it done!
Before I left on my business trip I pieced a few more rows with 5 more stacked and ready.
When I got back I spent almost all day Saturday (starting & stopping) and I finally got the top all pieced (small victory!). Now I need to get to the fabric store to buy enough Navy solid for the backing so I can baste this puppy for quilting.
I was planning to baste the Quilt for Vegas top on Saturday too but that didn’t get done.

I did cut the backing and batting for it and have it folded together ready for basting but I like to baste more than one quilt at a time so I’ll wait until I have the Navy fabric and do both of the quilts. I’ve had this wide backing fabric on hand for quite some time and I like how it references all the colors.
That’s it for now…I hope to get to the fabric store early in the week as we’re expecting temps in the 70’s by Thursday – perfect basting weather š
ttfn…
Restarting can be a toughie, but a bit of a slow patch can be good for the creativeness to regenerate. Sounds like you’re on your way!
